Ok, it was more like an overnight, but whatever.
This weekend we went to New Jersey to see Jen when her tour stopped at The Paper Mill Playhouse. The production was Jack & The Beanstalk. It was cute. and Jen was very, sparkly.
Seriously. She played the harp, and wore this sparkly gold lame, thing.
Pictures and video will be up for your viewing pleasure soon!
The trip up wasn't too bad, Bonnie slept for a good part of it. ;) After we ate lunch and checked into our hotel, we explored the local landscape.
They don't call New Jersey "Land of a Million Malls" for nothing. (I still say that should have been on their state coin). Seriously, we were in what was considered the "suburban" area, but it was unreal! Our hotel was across from, and in the middle of 3 separate malls.
Although the one across from us had a Target Freshland, and that was cool.
So that was it. Looking ahead:
Tomorrow, is my last day of school for the week. I will be spending Wednesday, my extra day off, getting up as early as I can to attempt to beat the Thansgiving shoppers at Stew Leonards's so I can get the desserts we'll be bringing to my Aunt and Uncle'e house for Thanksgiving.
I've been advised to get a dutch apple pie and a chocolate cake. After I drop those off at home, I'm pondering heading up Torrington way to visit my grandmother.
