Most of work this week has been pretty much the usual. Except today. Today we had two staff out so I ended up working with a kid I don't usually work with this morning.
As a result I got to go to another one of Scott's art classes. The kid I was with is more art oriented than my usual one, so it was like a completely different experience. It was nice. And now tom'w, barring any other staff weirdness, I'll go with my usual kid to our usual art class.
After work, I gave Scott a ride home, which as Scott swears is probably the last time. He's putting a down payment on a truck, and we went to the Danbury Autopark so he could show me which one. It's pretty nice and I told him that I hoped it worked out a whole lot better than the motorcycle.
Also, he being the Awful Enabler that he is, just got me into something new. He made me to listen to the new Keith Urban cd, while we were driving this afternoon. And I'm ALMOST ashamed to say that I loved it. The problem is, I'm not sure I'm ready to make the commitment to saying I like country music. Alison Krauss is bluegrass/americana and Kasey Chambers is just so awesome that she defies any sort of musical label. But Mr. Nicole Kidman? There's no denying he's country.
Daayummmmmmmmmmmmmm!
In other news, I'm sure you may have heard that there's no new Lost until February 7th. And as much as I do like Taye Diggs, Victoria Pratt, and Adam Baldwin, I'm not going to watch Daybreak. Wait as I just read back what I typed, I must be INSANE, because seriously, Benny, Shalimar AND JAYNE, in the same show?!!!! Seriously though, I'll just wait until the dvd comes out.
Anyway, rather than wallow is a Lost-less existence for 13 weeks, I've decided to use the time to catch up on Nip/Tuck. I figure it's more than enough time to finish the parts of Season 2 & Season 3 I haven't seen, even though I totally spoiled myself to be able to watch Season 4.
So last night, as a slight refresher, I re-rented Season 2, Disc 1. I am so not disappointed.
BTW, in light of what we know now about Christian, it's interesting, watching the old eps to see how he looks at Sean. I wonder how much Ryan Murphy told Julian McMahon about what he planned ahead for, because seriously, it's so there.
Ok, so that was for the 1 person who reads my LJ that watches Nip/Tuck. Who BTW, is also an AWFUL ENABLER. As previously stated, you suck for getting me into another show, but not really, because it's the most CRACKTASTIC (figuratively & literally) thing on TV today.
BTW, Best line of the first 3 eps of Season 2 by Dr. Christian Troy. In episode 3, Manya Mabika, as said to his partner, Dr. Sean McNamara:
"You might be more adept at nerve reattachment, but I am a goddamn genius when it comes to pussy. If I build it, she will come."
If anyone other than Julian McMahon said something like that on any other show, the network would be FILLED with angry calls.
I freakin' love Julian McMahon, Ryan Murphy & FX!
