I feel like people were trying really hard to make that stick...and maybe, for once, Americans finally got tired of people referencing Sept. 11th for everything. I know I wish Bush would stop using it as political platform. And World Trade Center, come on!
Oh well. No point in ranting. As a millenial, I'm just supposed to do good deeds, not think good/big thoughts. Hmm...maybe that's the key. They hope they can brainwash into all being little soldiers who don't think for themselves...that way, we'd actually believe invading countries for no reason and against the expressed wishes of everyone else seems like a good deed.
I really shouldn't try to have philosophical discusses after a nap. It's kind of hypocritical.
Anyway, I am so glad to have my own kitchen. Alex and I made, in reality, homemade hamburger helper. We threw bacon, hamburger meat, and green peppers all into Velveeta Mac & Cheese. My children will only eat Velveeta. None of that Kraft blue box crap. Yes, I realize Velveeta is also Kraft...but it's the good kind.
My mom called me three times today b/c, "Free nights and weekends!" I know she misses me. It's cute :-) I miss her, too. Plus, she was being kind enough to pick me up something I needed from Office Depot, and I don't think they're are any around here...but she just happened to be going by one today :-D
Going to schedule another job interview this week, hopefully. However, I don't know how in to the job I am. If I got it, I'd have to commute at least an hour and a half--no traffic. I don't think that's happening. I am not Dr. Myerowitz. I just can't do that.
Time to play X-Men Legends with Alex and drink. :-) He's discovered Irish Mist. It's so cute when he buys a little bottle of alcohol to try and then just goes head-over-heels for it. Hehe. I finally tried Grand Marnier the other night....hmmm. But I think tonight is an Aftershock/Goldschlager kinda night, right, Karen? I should just get 'schlagered. :-) Man, I miss ya'll in that house...plus Miss Emily back in SMCM. I get to see Shrmanda on the 23rd though for wedding dress fittings! YAY! :-D :-D And a shout out to Suzanne, too. Miss you!
(P.S.: I would still like to know why my mood icon of "drunk" looks like "sick". Come on! If I wanted to say I was sick from drinking, I'd do "hangover"! :-p)
