I so forgot to say why BloodRayne was an acceptable movie...
So, last night I totally forgot to explain why, although extremely gory, BloodRayne was a fun, acceptable movie in ColleenWorld. Why?
- The main character is a woman...not skinny-Kate Moss-little boy figure...but a WOMAN. B/c seriously folks--if you are going to be fighting bloodthirsty vamps, you NEED to be sturdy. You can't be flying out the window at the smallest breath of wind.
- Billy Zane. 'Nuff said.
- Meat Loaf makes a guest appearance. I <3 Meat Loaf. Plus, he plays creepy, fat, harem leaders so well. Not that he's type-cast or anything.
- Porno sex scene. She just mounts that guy and rides him all the way to Pleasure Town!! :-p
- Bored men hacking at disembowled corpses. Normally, I would be very turned off. But, this is in the middle of a huge battle...and the hackers looked bored!! Like, "Geez louise, another corpse. Another day, another corpse. Let's just hack this one to bits. It's got to be five o'clock soon."
And I'm done now. Need to make dinner plans.
