Rodeo Week in our hometown
It is finally time for our annual Rodeo week. RIDE'M, COWBOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rem and I have a tradition of going to the Rodeo parade in the morning, eating lunch at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants downtown and then heading out to the Coliseum to watch the 1:30 pm performance of the Rodeo. After the show, we go for a leisurely stroll around the fairgrounds. I would love to go on the rides but my stomach just can't handle the going around and around anymore.
The events actually start this Thursday, the 17th, and run through the 26th. This is the third largest rodeo event in the USA and the top prize-money event. Personally, I look forward to seeing the hunky cowboys and eating chocolate-covered cheesecake on a stick at the fair. ~ _ ^
The winter weather has started to go away, at least for now. It's supposed to be in the low-to-mid 70's for the next few days. I saw all the snow & ice I wanted to see in the last couple of weeks. We've had below normal temperatures for our area of Texas. I'm ready for Spring now.
