I slept exactly 8 and a half hours last night. I had gotten doped up on sleep inducers so that I could sleep off an eye irritation -- which was the third one I've had in about a month -- but my eye was just as bad as it was yesterday. It seemed like this was worse than the other two incidents combined, and then I started thinking that if I didn't seek out a professional this time that I might go blind, and never get see what my children look like, or watch them grow up...
So I went to an Empire Vision, and put my trust in them. For my children.
Before that though, I decided to hit up Panera Bread and had this INCREDIBLE lunch. It was all-vegetarian, a black bean soup with a mediterranean sandwich. The sandwich was Peppadew peppers, feta cheese, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatos, onions and cilantro hummus on tomato basil bread. MMMMM. (While I was eating it, my eye watered up real bad and tears started rolling down my face. That's right, my sandwich was so good that it made me cry. I wonder if anybody saw... soooo embarrassing.)
Then to kill some more time I went to a party store and there is a large wooden bird there (as shown) and it's $3.99 and I hope someone goes and buys it for me.
Then 2 rolled around... time for my appointment. THANK GOD. I was tired of avoiding people's eyes at cash registers and crying in Panera Bread and looking like my boyfriend beat the shit out of me. (I really look quite scary.) So I go in there, fill out a form. And everytime I told an employee that I had slept with my contacts in they had the same reaction: *gasp!* Ha. I kind of wonder if they are told to do that.
Apparently there are white blood cells in my eyes, or something like that. Pssh. So I'm going to be okay. I'm not going blind. I just have super-inflammed eyes. DUHHH. The guy wrote me a prescription for some drops, but he said that if I didn't take them that my eyes would clear up on their own.
Then I go to get it filled. And you aren't going to believe this, but my insurance won't pay for it because the doctor who wrote me the prescription doesn't have a "DEA number" (whatever that means) and I can't pay the $20.14 out of pocket for it without my insurance. @%$#*%#! So I bought some other drops off the shelf and I'm going to "man" this one out... but don't think Empire Vision isn't going to hear about this tomorrow morning. Good-for-nothing-SOBS...
Ah. At least I'm going to an Amerks game tomorrow with my dad after Spectrum. Kaleta's last game as an Amerk...
