(no subject)
My life has been fun lately. Lots of flinging myself down hills of snow and dancing around my apartment and recieving $65 slippers for free in the mail... William Schatner gave these to my stepmom b/c she works with him and he loves them, but she already has Uggs and so she sent them to me... ahh Hollywood... sometimes the perks of being me are nothing short of fabulous.
I'm thinking women's studies for grad school, getting my Master's and going on to work for Planned Parenthood or a women's shelter (to eventually become the director, of course). I'm excited about the idea. Rutgers has the leading program for women's studies grad work in the nation, which is good b/c as a RU grad I have a good chance of getting in, but it's bad b/c it's another Rutgers degree, which is not a fun idea for me. grr we'll see.

Megan is officially gone. Well, she's still here till Tuesday but I said my goodbye and I won't see her again until June. She's my best friend and we always have a great time together. I'm going to miss her so, so much. We went clubbing in Philly, which was a lot of fun except for the greasy Italian/Spanish 4'10" boys who kept coming up behind us and humping our butts... the best was when a guy would stand behind one of us and not quiiite touch us. I'd turn around and realize that I've been "dancing with" this guy for God knows how long without any knowledge of it. Also funny: a guy asked us if he could dance with us! In a club, for me at least, the answer to that question is a silent, implied NO. It's almost always no. But guys come up and dance and I let them for a few minutes, then I leave. I didn't know what to say! I was like ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and then we darted away. By the end of the night I was elbowing guys off me out of frustration and making it seem like part of the dance. Or I'd dance a few steps back, then forward quickly and leave them there. Switching off of those two tactics proved itself to get rid of the guy within approximately two minutes. If they were hot, it would have been different. But I just go to dance anyway, not to meet/be groped by guys. So we left earlier than we thought. Luckily, I'm going out to Sig Ep tonight and the guys there are always delightful so some real dancing with real men should go down... odd that I went to a club and missed the frat scene. didn't think THAT would happen.
