Summary: Baekhyun has to pay the price for dusting his hand off after the sick Tao has touched his hand in front of everyone (and also the world aka fans) during the Youku Night.

Tao wanted to hold Baekhyun’s hand at the Youku Night interview. Tao was just right beside his boyfriend and he knew in his heart that he can only find warmth in Baekhyun. Tao brought his hand out to hold Baekhyun. But then, as he finally gets to hold Baekhyun’s hand, the last thing he least expected to happen is Baekhyun rejecting him. What is worse is that it happened in a public event wherein people (including fans) all around the world will witness or watch that scene. Tao saw Baekhyun dusting his own hand off because of the potential germs that will contaminate him. Tao deep down inside felt humiliated, but on the outside he laughed it off out of consideration.
What Baekhyun does not know is that Tao feels deeply hurt with what he did.
Tao avoided Baekhyun at all cost. Good thing for him though that he is sleeping alone in the hotel due to the fact that he has been sick for a while now. He just hoped that his boyfriend would not notice the sudden change of attitude. Tao hoped that his boyfriend will think that the reason why he distanced himself is because of him being sick.
The day after the EXO members flew back to Seoul, Tao was still sick. Tao slowly isolated himself away from Baekhyun while at the airport. But then Baekhyun watched over him. Baekhyun’s hand would sometimes be placed on his back but Tao could not just swat it away at the airport.
Once they have arrived at their dorm, Tao bravely rejected all attempts of affection Baekhyun wanted to give to him. Baekhyun was taken aback as Tao deliberately pries Baekhyun’s hands off from him.
Baekhyun glared at Tao and questioned him. “Tao, what is wrong with you that you are rejecting me out of a sudden?”
Tao heard him and mocked Baekhyun. “Wow, my dear boyfriend, so you somehow felt what it feels to be rejected?”
Baekhyun blinked in surprise at Tao’s statement. After understand what his boyfriend said, Baekhyun defended himself. “Dude, I was rejecting you in a jokingly way the other night ago.”
Tao quickly butted in. “Yes, I know. But what did you do? You dusted your hand off in pubic! You and I both know that I’m sick. Yet Byun Baekhyun, the whole world knows that I am currently sick okay! Everyone knows that I’m sick at the moment! You - dusting your hand off where fans all over the world will see - I feel humiliated. Damn it, you just hurt my pride and my self-esteem - and - argh - I am so pissed!” Afterwards, Tao pushed Baekhyun angrily and the older landed on his butt onto the floor. That crash caught the attention of the other members.
Tao turned around, away from Baekhyun, when Baekhyun uttered an apology. “Baby Beef, I’m sorry.”
Tao’s back was still facing Baekhyun and the latter is still sitting on the floor. He did not budge after hearing Baekhyun’s apology. When Baekhyun noticed that Tao is not responding, he stood up and hugged Tao from behind. Tao’s anger in his system was consuming him, and he released himself off from Baekhyun’s embrace. Tao turned around to face Baekhyun and said one important sentence in front of Baekhyun’s face.
“I HATE YOU!”
Baekhyun’s tears fell down from his eyes after hearing what Tao said. He trembly tried to hold Tao’s hands as he apologized again. “Tao, I’m sorry. Please don’t hate anymore. Please - I’m sorry.”
Tao showed his rejection again by removing his hand from Baekhyun’s grasp. And then another statement of his sent Baekhyun’s world crashing down.
“You simply rejected me in such a bad light, Baek.” Tao said coldly. He continued, “I really hate you. I’m sorry, but we’re over for the meantime.” Tao left Baekhyun and walked towards his room.
Baekhyun chased after him and he was faced with Tao closing the door on him. Tao locked the door and Baekhyun knocked on the door.
“Baby Beef! Little Beef is sorry for what he had done. Please - we’re not breaking up!” Baekhyun pleaded.
“Leave me alone! You have hurt me enough! Don’t ever come near to me you rascal!” Tao screamed back from his room.
The other EXO members has emerged and somehow went near to Baekhyun. Baekhyun gave up in defeat, and when he saw the other eight members, he bowed his head down as he takes his leave.
Sehun looked at Baekhyun with a frown as the latter goes to his own room. And along with the awkward silence, Kyungsoo shook his head and spoke softly, “Serves you right for what you did, Baekhyun.”

Tao was sleeping on his bed peacefully when Sehun came inside his room. Sehun brought the chair and placed it in front of Tao’s bed and sat down. Tao woke up due to the sound of the chair dragging across the floor.
Sehun noticed that his friend is awake as he sat down. He broke the silence by asking, “How are you feeling now, hyung?”
Tao turned to face Sehun while lying down. He answered, “All I am feeling right now is only hurt. I really need a break from him for a while.”
“So this is why you resorted to a temporary break up?” Sehun asked in concern.
Tao tiredly answered, “Yeah. I am already sick and then I get offended. Sehun, this is totally a bad combination.”
Sehun tried to explain from his perspective. “You know that your - ex-boyfriend likes to joke with you most of the time, Tao hyung.”
But Tao immediately cut Sehun off. “But he has gone overboard, Hun.”
“So what are you planning to do then now that you - broke up - with him?” Sehun awkwardly asked in curiosity.
“I’ll need some time to get my ego and self-esteem back. And of course, get well from my sickness.”
“Oh okay. Hmm… do you mind if I take care of you for the meantime? Since I know that your ex-boyfriend will be banned from your premises though…” Sehun proposed the offer with a mischievous smile on his face.
Tao’s face brightened up upon hearing Sehun’s idea. He accepted Sehun’s proposal. “I don’t mind at all, Hun. Whatever makes me recover fast, just do and give everything you can. Let my ex-boyfriend taste his wrath for hurting me.”
Sehun laughed at what Tao said. Later on, he stood up. “I’ll bring your food inside your room tonight. Rest well, hyung.”

The boys except for Tao were setting the table up for dinner as Sehun arrived. He announced his gentle request. “Guys, please save some food for Tao hyung. I’ll bring it inside his room.”
Baekhyun paused from what he is doing to look at Sehun with envy written on his face.
Kyungsoo replied as he was still in the kitchen, “Okay then maknae, I’m setting aside his share now.”
“Thanks hyung.” Sehun thanked Kyungsoo with a bright smile on his face.
Kyungsoo carefully set aside some chicken soup, side dishes, and rice for Tao. He called Sehun when he was done in order for Sehun to bring the tray of food to Tao’s room. Baekhyun’s eyes followed Sehun’s path as the latter brought the food inside Tao’s room. Kyungsoo and Suho stared at Baekhyun and felt sorry for him.
“That serves you right for hurting him, Baekhyun.” Kyungsoo softly said, well enough for Baekhyun to hear.

Tao sat up from his bed as he saw Sehun entering inside the room.
“Hyung, dinner is here.” Sehun announced as the brought the tray of food in front of Tao.
“Whoa, thank you Sehun.” Tao’s mood brightened upon seeing the food.
“You’re welcome.” Sehun placed the food tray on Tao’s lap. He patted Tao’s head and said, “Eat well and get well soon, hyung. If you need anything, just call me. Okay?”
“Okay then, Sehun. Thanks a lot.” Tao thanked him.
“Where is Candy?” Sehun asked. Candy approached Sehun’s feet after hearing the maknae calling her name. Sehun bent down to pick Candy up. “Candy ah, it’s time for dinner.”
Sehun carried Candy and bid goodbye to Tao. “Okay hyung, Candy and I will be back later after dinner.” Candy barked in agreement.

The next day, Sehun left Tao’s door open by accident. Baekhyun saw that and he stood near the door’s side. Sehun just came back from outside and asked Tao, “Hyung, do you want anything?”
“I want a glass of milk.”
Baekhyun barged in and shouted, “I’ll get one for you.”
Tao was surprised when he heard Baekhyun’s voice. Sehun went out of the room and he saw making a glass of warm milk. At the back of his mind, he knew that Tao is going to reject Baekhyun’s act of service. He watched Baekhyun until he is done. When the latter left the kitchen, Sehun poured a glass of warm water and headed to Tao’s room.
Sehun saw Baekhyun going inside the room, and Tao rejected the milk that Baekhyun has offered. Sehun went inside and Tao said, “I asked for warm water, not milk. Thanks Sehunnie!”
Baekhyun was left defeated and rejected once again.

Baekhyun was sitting down at a sofa in the living room, lonely. Candy the dog happened to pass by there. When Candy went near to Baekhyun, the boy petted the dog by brushing her hair. Candy growled angrily in return.
“Are you mad at me as well, Candy?”
Candy answered with a soft angry growl.
“I really hurt your father big time, right?”
Candy softly growled as the answer.
“I really wish that your father will forgive me so that I can win him back.”
Candy leaned her face on Baekhyun’s leg after hearing that.

Baekhyun really wanted to get Tao back. For the past three days, he reached out to Tao such as attempting to hold his hand and saying hi to him. But Tao swatted Baekhyun’s hands away and simply ignored him.
On the fourth night, while everyone is asleep, Baekhyun got up from his bed and went to Tao’s room. He crouched down in a fetus position in front of the room and cried silently while softly confessing, “Baby Beef, I’m sorry for hurting you. I miss you - and I love you so much.”
Suho woke up and walked towards the kitchen to get some water. But he saw Baekhyun sobbing in front of Tao’s room. He went to Baekhyun and kneeled down beside him.
“Baekhyun, are you okay?” Suho asked as he placed his hand on Baekhyun’s hair.
Baekhyun leaned to the leader and embraced him. Suho embraced Baekhyun back and comforted him while the younger sobbed in his embrace. Suho petted Baekhyun as if he is his puppy and whispered words of comfort. “The two of you will be okay. Don’t worry about that.”
Tao who was inside the room, woke up when he heard that someone is crying outside of his room. When the sobbing got even louder, he guessed that his ex-boyfriend was currently outside of the room at the moment. He felt that his eyes were tearing up as he hears his ex-boyfriend crying for him. He wondered if the four days of separation will be enough for him to get himself back and forgive Baekhyun.
He knew that Baekhyun will never stop on winning him back. And for him, this was the first time that Baekhyun finally broke down because of what happened to them. Tao let his tears fall down as he realized one important fact - Baekhyun loves him very much.
Tomorrow will be the last day of him testing Baekhyun.

Baekhyun chased after Tao as the taller went to the living room. He tried to hold Tao’s hand again but Tao swatted it away again.
The eight members were watching the encounter behind the walls.
Baekhyun could not accept Tao’s rejection anymore. He hurled Tao around and grabbed his neck to kiss him. Baekhyun kissed Tao with his tears falling down from his eyes. Tao was stunned with his eyes open as Baekhyun kissed him.
Baekhyun broke the kiss upon finding out that Tao did not respond to his kiss. He knelt down and embraced Tao’s legs that brought shock to Tao and the other members.
“Huang Zitao, I’m sorry for hurting you. Please forgive me. I miss you so much and I love you.”
Baekhyun was sobbing on Tao’s legs, and Tao finally let his emotions out as he watched Baekhyun being desperate to do everything to win him back. He sat down and gently removed Baekhyun’s arms from his legs.
Baekhyun panicked when he felt his arms getting removed from Tao. He quickly reacted by screaming, “No! No!”
But Tao shushed him by embracing Baekhyun with his left arm and ruffled Baekhyun’s hair using his right hand. He whispered on Baekhyun’s hair, “Little Beef. Little Beef, Baby Beef forgives you.”
Baekhyun leaned closer in Tao’s embrace and tearfully thanked him. “Thank you, Baby Beef.”
They stayed in each other’s embrace for a while, and the other eight members left the scene after witnessing their reunion.
Tao brought Baekhyun to his room. They stood behind the door as they got in, and Tao locked the door. Both of them looked at each other’s eyes and Tao decided that it is time for them to get back together.
He kissed Baekhyun. Baekhyun brushed his lips over Tao’s satisfying his hunger for him in the last few days. Tao let Baekhyun dominate the kiss as the latter kissed him so deeply. The passionate kiss exchanged between the Beef Brothers went on until Baekhyun broke the kiss apart because he was out of breath.
Tao bent his forehead down to touch Baekhyun’s forehead. Baekhyun caressed Tao’s cheek and whispered, “I love you, Baby Beef.”
“I love you too, Little Beef.” And Tao embraced Baekhyun again. “We are getting back together again.”
