Maroon 5 Rocks!!!!
Hey everyone, well I thought I would update this thing since I actually did something tonight. I just got home from seeing Maroon 5 at the Palace and it was prob the best concert Ive been too. I liked all the concerts Ive been to in the past but this one was actually indoors and there was a whole lotta people there so it was so much louder. Everywhere you looked the seat was filled. So anyways it was the Honda Civic Tour so Maroon 5 was the main act and then The Donnas, The Thrills, and Phantom Planet were the opening acts, but only one per show. The Donnas were the opening act tonight. I was actually hoping for Phantom Planet to hear The OC theme, but it didnt work out that way. I guess the Donnas werent bad though. So anyways The Donnas played for like 45 mins and then they left the stage and it got set up for Maroon 5. This took about 20-30 mins and during this time they were playing videos on the screens. They played this video called "Chicken Payback" which had to be the worst song I ever heard in my life. Well finally the horrible music videos stopped and Maroon 5 came on stage. The crowd went wild, and I also noticed that the crowd had like quadrupled since the Donnas were on. We had awesome seats so we could see and hear everything perfectly. Maroon 5 played for about an hour, songs from their current cd and their upcoming one, all their songs sounded great and that band has so much energy. Adam, the lead singer, was all over the place singing and playing his guitar. He kept saying that Detroit was his fav city and it had the best f*cking crowd he'd ever seen. Im sure he says this at all their shows but it was still pretty cool. When they played "This Love" he had only the crowd sing the chorus not the group and it was soooo loud. I ended up recording parts of This Love, Sunday Morning, and She will Be Loved on my phone. It actually turned out pretty good. So they sang their songs and then left the stage. Then like 5 mins later they came back for their encore. They sang "She Will Be Loved" and sounded awesome of course. The Adam had their drummer come out (whos name I dont know but hes HOT!!!) and he sang the last song while Adam played the drums. He ended up singing Highway to Hell and it sounded soooooo fricking good!! They ended up having The Donnas come back onstage since it was the last time they would be with them for that tour. They were all having a hell of a lot of fun on the stage so it was really exciting to watch. Then the show was really over when they finished that song. Travis, Becca, and I just sat in our seats for a while waiting for the crowd to pass. None of us could hear a thing so Im pretty sure we were all screaming when we were talking to each other. It took me like two hours to get my hearing back fully. On the way out we were driving through the parking lot and there was a GOOSE. Yes thats right a Goose was in the middle of the parking lot of the Palace of Auburn Hills at 1130 at night. WTF!!!!! I had to make sure I wasnt seeing things so I was like "There is a duck there right" and Beccas like "man thats a huge duck!!" by then I realized it was a goose or something but I was just glad I wasnt going crazy. All in all though it was an AWESOME SHOW!!!! We all had a great time. I also have tomorrow (well technically today) off from both Hurley and Subway so I am going to be SLEEPING!!!! Well time to get a start on that sleeping I think!!! Peace out!!!
