i have a Jagermiester trucker hat and Dan doesn't.
so the show last night was pretty damn cool.
here's how it all boiled down:
Twisted Method: they didn't show up. their RV broke down
40 Below Summer: seen them twice, and twice i've been amazed with how fucking good they are. after their set, they were all at the merch table hanging out and i sat and chilled with them for a while and bullshitted with them. they're a bunch of really nice guys. the guitarist has tattoos done by Paul Booth... oh how i envy him. so yeah, i ended up hanging out with them for pretty much the whole show. they gave me a bunch of free stuff too... well not a bunch, but a hat, a poster that they signed, and a necklace that the bassist thought was a bag of pot at first.
Dope: i didn't pay much attention to them while they played, i was at the back with 40 Below, but i did pay attention to their last two or three songs... they're still really bad ass. Dan said that Edsel was starting to turn into a prick on stage, but eh.. i don't care.
Mushroomhead: i didn't watch very much but they were good. it was almost funny how apeshit everyone in the crowd went when they came on. but yeah, they were pretty damn good.
so all in all it was a good show. i had a lot of fun and got a cool Jagermiester trucker hat out of the deal. and 40 Below said that they really enjoyed playing for Odessa and that they'd be back in the spring... can't wait for that.
