Post-Thanksgiving Bliss
Got back to Los Angeles Sunday. It was great to see all my college friends again and be back on campus. It actually felt like I had been gone a really long time. Returning to Austin over the weekend was so surreal. When I first showed up at my house, I just walked through all the rooms smiling. I kept grinning about how nice the house looked: wallpaper, soft carpet, walls that aren't that sterile, stark white dorm color that makes you feel like you're in a hospital or an insane asylum. My own bed and sink and shower were all great luxuries. I felt very rushed about everything though, like there wasn't enough time to fit everything in. Between spending "quality time" with the family, which was great and necessary(don't get me wrong), and trying to reunite and hang out with many friends, I couldn't do everything. Plus, I was trying to work on two essays due literally right after break. Now, as of yesterday I'm much more relaxed because all my papers are turned in and I just have to work on studying for finals coming up in a little over a week. Winter break is almost here, yet it's not coming nearly fast enough! I'm already listening to Christmas tunes on Napster. It's great. As a sidenote, I'm really disappointed I couldn't stay longer at Lily's house last Saturday. It was such a bummer! My mom gave me a bottle of Vodka to take back though so I'm planning on drinking it up on Friday night. I feel like I barely got to talk to Lily, but I spent time with Corley and Stacy when we went to see a movie and hang out. All my theater peeps: We have to party hard over break!
