It's Raining Beer!

So today USC played Berkley and barely won, so we're still number one. Some friends convinced me to go over to the Colosseum early at 8:00 in the morning for this ESPN program. Basically, we were part of the mob of student fans seen in the background of some sports people's TV show. It was pretty exciting, but I was so tired...I barely got any sleep. This is partly because I didn't actually get in bed until 2:30 and partly because just before I actually fell asleep, my roommate came in and decided to have passionate sex with me in the room. I rolled over, faced the wall, and pretended not to hear all of the noises from the other bed. It was extremely awkward. I don't know if John knew I was still awake. He would have definitely known if he was sober, but I think he and his friend were drunk. Anyway, I haven't talked to John since last night. Back to the football game...we waited for several hours outside the Colosseum for them to open the gates. It got so crowded and for over 40 minutes we were shoulder to shoulder in the mob, trying to get in. The crowd-control people were idiots and kept trying to get the entire mob to backup. People started shouting and getting aggressive. It's odd how putting a large amount of drunk aggravated people in a confined, hot, miserable place with a unreachable goal for unbearably long periods of time tends to lead to chaos. I actually got separated from my group and after the phone-tag of trying to find them, I gave up and just sat with my friend Phebe, who I ran into when I was lost. We could only find seats up in the "reserved" section and moved several times when people would come and claim the seats we were sitting in. In the middle of the game, this guy a couple of rows behind us spilled his full cup of beer. It was literally aimed right at us, getting in our hair and all over our shirts and belongings. Beer got in my eyes! It was quite an experience and we smelled like beer the rest of the day. The man offered to buy us some beer in return for his clumsiness, however, we were forced to move to new seats before we could take advantage of his offer. Game-days are so weird, yet entertaining.
