Random Ramblings
Nothing cool happened on April Fool's Day. I wanted to post a fake LiveJournal entry but didn't get around to it. It seems like everyone has been posting less this semester...maybe it's just my imagination. I saw Sin City late last night at the theater outside Universal Studios. The visuals were stunning, but I had no clue how dark and violent the whole movie would be. I really don't know whether to recommend it to people or not, and all my friends give mixed reviews. However, every person who read the comics had nothing but good things to say about the movie and its adaptation. I saw a USC production of Anything Goes this afternoon and was quite impressed. I knew a few of the people involved with the show, including my friend Brent who was in the ensemble. Watching the show reminded me of how much I miss theater. I feel like no one out here realizes how much theater meant to me in high school and how involved I was with it. I wish they could see the three Super Squad shows and the other stuff I wrote and directed. I wish I could get back up on the stage and be the star. I felt kinda egotistical thinking all that during the show but I couldn't help it. I think it's natural and just means I need to write, direct, or act in something soon. I haven't acted in a show in almost a year and a half! Unless you count the Senior Sko Show, which was tons of fun. I read back over that script about a month ago on my computer and it made me laugh so damn hard. Oh, the memories. I'm currently writing the script for the ghost movie I've been wanting to make for a long time now. I emailed Ms. De Los Santos about using the high school theater and I'm waiting to hear back from her. To the all-star cast I'm hoping for (Stacy, Danielle, Lily, Corley, and Cassie): Are you guys going to be in town from May 23-25? This is the last week of AISD and I was hoping we could use the theater in the afternoon after finals. I'm going to be riding back to Austin with my friend Jon on a road-trip and we should be back in town by like May 14th. By the way, can someone give me Cassie's email?
