so, jay and I adopted two new little loveturds: munster and maytag. (we were told previous to rescuing them from their country-casual-knick-knack-infested-oprah-worshipping hellhole that they like cheese.) They're about a month old, littermates, adorable, precocious, sleepy, and charming. there's little more indulgent than staying in bed until 7p playing with boyfriend and kittens..
my life's ok.
although sometimes I worry..
my list of current worries includes but is not limited to:
my premature departure from jwu
not having my own place to run to when things get loud
my debt to timewarner
taxes
finding a good/real job
buying the wrong things/buying too many things
not buying enough things
reconciling my belief that love is a construct designed to make us buy more with my deeply-rooted desire to watch "the mirror has two faces"..
argentina
the absence of the presserfoot for my bernette 705A
dad and ginger
cancer
plus, I'm always worried that I'll drive into a body of water and not be able to escape. this fear escalates markedly when I drive over, say, bodies of water.
but, on the bright side, I work from home on my own schedule and make fairly good money. That's huge. plus, jay and I have a charming home. and even though I don't have cable, I can download season three of project runway thanks to the power of the internet. also, I've reconnected with various friends that school, salute, and general laziness had kept from me. And finally, I'm subverting the dominant paradigm by ordering catalogs online and then not using them to buy things but instead using them for crafts. And I'm honing my ambidexterity by giving myself weekly home manicures. when I stop and think about it, Everything's coming up millhouse!
hot dog in the morning.
In a last bit of news, I've taken up re-reading The Celebration Chronicles, so if anyone is up for a discussion about this, I'd like to relive my college days by doing just that. I'm also being forced to 'skim through' Love Smart, this book by Dr. Phil. "Find the one you want - fix the one you've got." Ginger sent it to me with precise instructions for using it to fix my life. This is almost like the time aunt jan gave me a book called How to be a Lady.
you crazy. you crazy.
