finally i crashed headlong into a truck, which swerved to a halt in the bike lane on baltimore two feet in front of me to talk to some kids, who stepped into said bike lane to greet the driver. this is the most recent of a series of similar incidents involving car doors, morbidly large vehicles, and obtuse pedestrians. my city will have no car lanes.
