i live in a thrift store

I've spent the past week going through the mountains of both crap and useful items that were left behind by this house's previous tenants. So far I've found, among other things: retainers, inhalers, countless half empty bags of frozen vegetables, bottles of substances that I thought was water but realized it wasn't when it oozed like honey into the sink, dead plants, salvageable plants (which I've been watering) a plastic bag full of human hair in the freezer, cute cloths, insanely ugly and probably unsanitary clothes, unidentifiable bottles of perscription pills, countless broken musical instruments, a school desk, pots and pans, personal notes, a box of photographs, exercise videos, paintings, a full-sized homemade blue monster costume, books on Communism, a playboy magazine from the 60's (featuring a short story by Umberto Eco!) half-filled sketchbooks, a cork board with seemingly sentimental items pinned to it, blankets, moldy spices, a brand new, unopened jar of Nutella, every flavor of tea imaginable, (which won't be brewed in the several broken teapots) home-made masks, empty cassete boxes and tarot cards.
