the fire alarm
It was brought to our atttention today that the fire alarm is no longer hooked up in the shop. TJ stepped out for a minute and came back in quickly to tell us the building is being evacuated and the fire alarm is going off. We all stoped and looked around. Granted we were making alot of noise so we might not have heard it, but the flashing lights weren't going off. Hmm, so we left and joined everyone on the loading dock. Appearently our alarm was disconnected for stupid reasons that included us accendently setting the fire alarm off. In case there was a real fire, we would have all burned in the scene shop. I love that place as much as the next, but its really not a placee I wish to die in. The only consolence I was given was by Chris. He said that it would take at leadst an hour before the fire was able to get through that cinder wall. Oh good. The fire department would have enough time to arrive and shuffle us out before we burned to death. Eventually someone came and realized that ours wasn't going off and they hooked it back up.
