Its been nice being home for the last couple days in the ol'hometown. I left work wednesday night and came straight into town and spent the evening with my grandma who I hadn't seen in ages. Then I got to watch a lot of sweet sweet cable which I don't have the pleasure of having here in D-town. Its hard to sleep in my parents house when its all empty and giant and such.
Thursday morning I stepped out of the shower and realized that a real estate agent and a family were outside my front door, so that was good times trying to find some pants and a bra before strangers barged into my house. Saw the uncle later in the day and talked about jobs and took care of taxes.
Decided to randomly call B as I was driving around and he ended up being home so we grabbed some food and met up with his sister. He then made me participate in exercise, aka walking, and then his parents invited me to dinner, which was awesome and his mom gave me her recipe for italian beef. mmmm. I swear he has probably the greatest parents ever. Brent is the only person I dated for over a year so I really know his family well and so it was nice to get to spend some time with them all again. Its also nice B and I are still really good friends, wouldn't trade him for the world.
Well then he convinced me to go to the bar for a bit and though i got "in trouble" by going, it was worth it. Nothing like hanging out with an old friend and reminiscing and getting good advice and such from someone you trust. haha..."BEER".
I also just realized that I drunkenly had an entire conversation with an aquaintance of Brent's in regards to baseball/football. Not only did I have a legible conversation, but I knew what i was talking about. I'm impressed with myself. Though, its always nice to meet fellow Cubs fans. And no B, true Cubs fans cannot possibly get excited about the White Sox winning the World Series. Mediate on that awhile :P
I definitely have to go home more. I think at least once a week. The house does need more upkeep, and with my grandparents in FL and my uncle all important and busy now, no one can really check up on it. And I think I might want to move back for awhile. I'm kind of disenchanted with DeKalb these days. Need some change.
Anyways, think I'll go get a hair cut, its obnoxiously long and always in the way. Then its rest. sweet sweet rest....
