Where is the fighting man?
So, I suppose LJ is now where I put anything that won't fit on Twitter.
I was looking at concert dates and noticed how screwed I am this month:
Mon. May 4
Gojira w/ the Chariot, and Carbomb
Tues. May 5
Paganfest Part 2 w/ Korpiklaani, Eluveitie, Primordial, Moonsorrow, Blackguard, and Swashbuckle
Wed. May 6
Obscura w/ Graves of Valor, and Abysmal Dawn
The 4th was actually my day off, but I didn't really feel like driving to Cleveland just to see Gojira. Missing Primordial today makes me sad.
Apparently Opeth is also playing the 5th near Pittsburgh, with Enslaved. Fuuuuuuuuuck.
However, I did notice that LITE is actually going to be playing a few shows. I've already requested a day off work to go to one. These guys still rank as one of the best math/post-rock bands I've ever heard. I will drive to Cleveland Heights by myself if I have to and, I hope, be able to buy some stuff. They're not on a US label as far as I know and I've been too lazy to actually make a mass order from the UK (or Japan).
Some examples:
They aren't headlining and I know almost nothing about the other band, but it should be fun.
I noticed there are also a few good metal shows coming up this summer, so I can attempt to see most of those.
