haha, well it's alright... I'm pretty sure you have hosted most of them at one point or another... in fact i own nearly all of them. I'm just too lazy to hunt for the others!

you should post favorite songs from each album

just a thought.

hey, i'm posting here instead of bugging the whole elliott group...i figure i'll just bug you. i think you should just try to play your favorite elliott songs, cos you'll like it better. (and don't worry about making it sound perfect; elliott was a really good guitar player and he did some crazy shit.) yeah, you'll get stumped and stuck sometimes, but when you can finally play even part of a song you love...it's really fucking cool. i still get excited sometimes that i can play "angeles." it's surprising the way a song looks brutally complicated at first (say, "between the bars," "miss misery," or "waltz #2"), but it's not so bad once you're more used to using lots of chords and changing them all the time. then there are songs like "no name #5," which is always weird ( ... )

Thank you so much, dude. Believe me, I'm not going to give up any time soon. I realize he was a fucking genius when it came to music and I'm setting my standards pretty high, but that's good, in a way. It'll keep me motivated to get better. I have been trying a bunch of his songs, no matter how hard they look or sound. Like "Taking a Fall," which is my favorite guitar part of Elliott's at the moment. Picking is a bit intense at the moment, though so I try not to get frustrated.

I have been trying to barre with the side of my finger, but the B string always seems to be muted because my finger's not strong enough yet.

and, yes. That's why it's my "name." I saw it in the liner notes and I wanted a new name haha

Hi! I don't update my journal anymore, but I love Sondre Lerche, Beirut, Jens Lekman, (of course) Rufus and Shugo Tokumaru. You have great taste!
