I loved this fic. I love your characterization of Kara, just like in BSG - cocky and confident yet vulnerable and so flawed underneath. Never thought to compare her to one of the birds, but she is - just like that. I loved that Lee thought so too. I loved how awkward it was, how full of humor, and I loved that it became about desperate desire.

This fic made me laugh out loud several times - Kara's idea of a cylon detection method? The back and forth about the corniness? My favorite - Lee thinking he could just 'look the other way' and then get a glimpse at the critical moment. Hah! Yes, deep deep denial. Lee proclaiming himself a god? although that last one was so tinged with melancholy, because these two are awkward with each other and insecure. Don't know how to be good friends and good lovers, don't know how to mean that much to each other. God, I love their angsty dysfunction.

Great pacing, dialogue, everything. Thanks so much for sharing.

After all it is an easy and reliable method.
No wasting of valuable ressources too. Just goes to show what kind of man Lee is, I mean Baltar did need a nuclear weapon for the same conclusion :-)
