The Prequels already made me stop caring about Star Wars, before the Prequels even came out. one look at Darth Maul in the advertising had me rolling my eyes, one look at Jedi wearing the same clothes as Ben Kenobi had me confused. why the hell are these guys wearing the same clothes as an old fugitive on Tatooine that is dressing like the locals just to blend in, wtf? when in all of history do you see sword wielding warriors wearing big baggy flowing robes? it make no sense and would be very hampering.
Disney's purchase of Star Wars at the time was the one chance to redeem my disinterest after or technically i suppose before seeing the Prequels. i could go as far as even saying it was a sure thing and then somehow they did the impossible and made it no better. so interest gone again. and now they just keep digging that whole deeper and deeper out of desperation to recover their giant financial expense in purchasing the property.
so now we have this Acolyte which i already have no interest in, but what is the first thing i see in the clips in this review? ANOTHER Jedi inexplicably wearing those same stupid old peasant man from Tatooine clothes! in NO world dies it make sense for that outfit to be the Jedi uniform, unless Obi Wan was an absolute F*****G IDIOT. and even then it still would make no sense because those are clearly normal civilian desert clothes from Tatooine.
