Name: Lucius Malfoy
Nicknames: He does not have nicknames.
Birthday: 10th September
Age: 17
School Year: Sixth
Which House: Slytherin
Reasoning?: He absolutely refuses to explain this to you.
Appearance: Not quite shoulder length wispy white blonde hair whose particular manner of artlessness suggests (atleast to the girls) considerable effort going into its maintenance. Oddly fey green eyes and high cheekbones. A mouth that is excellent for sneering. Quite tall and medium built.
Personality: Lucius is proud but it’s a cold, quiet pride that compells a need to live up to his name. He is cold, intimidating and charismatic and also a true believer. He knows the superiority of the pureblood but believes that this is not rooted solely in blood but also in the superior intellect, manners and other personal qualities that are a consequence of good breeding. Without the latter blood, in Lucius' world, is utterly meaningless. As a consequence he has a strict code of honour that pervades all areas of his life that can actually make it difficult and unpleasant at times, and will also police other purebloods and members of Slytherin House whose behaviour he finds unfitting. While he knows it is important to ensure that the halfbloods and others understand their inferior position there are standards that must be maintained, and he will not tolerate mindless thuggery or cruelty.
He is loyal and protective towards those he considers his people, which would include his younger brother and much of Slytherin House now that he is an upper year prefect. He does possess a softer side but so far only Naricissa will have met it.
Extra: His political beliefs are central to his life and what he envisions doing with it. He is firmly against the extermination of those of impure blood on grounds of waste. He believes that firstly there ought to be a multi tiered system based on blood status; that it ought to include the muggle born and that there ought to be traffic allowed between all levels except for, of course, the top tier of pure unbesmirched blood. Secondly he believes that the muggle born ought to have their own separate institution where they are taught their place in wizarding society and how to serve their betters. This school ought to come with indoctrination subtly delivered to ensure loyalty and gratitude rather than a rebellious nature. Use of the muggleborns in this way will make wizarding society more efficient, prosperous and the envy of the rest of Europe.
Similarly, after three generations of wizard blood on all sides those of muggleborn ancestry ought to be allowed to progress into the next tier of society if they meet certain standards, allowing them to enter Hogwarts and attain more rights within society. This will not only help to prevent unrest fermenting among the underclass but ensure that talent does not go to waste and that society does not stagnate in a dangerous fashion.
As id probably evident Lucius has read a lot of Roman political thought. He intends to one day be minister of magic and reform society as it ought to be.
He also has a List. Currently only on it is Fenrir Greyback whom he considers to be a disgrace to everything that Slytherin and purity of blood ought to mean, and who is quite frankly far too dangerous to be allowed out into the real world. He has a second list though, made up of people he is watching closely to see if they ought to be on the first list.
Narcissa is his girlfriend of around eight months now. Eventually she will marry him. He knows this.
Blood Status: Pure.
History: Raised as the heir to Malfoydome Lucius studied under numerous tutors prior to attending school to ensure the shaping of his young mind was performed to his parents liking. He received all the usual training of a young gentleman, and can hunt, fly, make polite conversation with a young lady in three languages and dance a variety of formal dances. Draco came as an unpleasant shock, and at five he attempted to persuade his mother that Draco belonged in a sanatorium in France. However, since then he has become quite fond of the nuisance.
