Thank you for everything, John.

Let us have a moment of silence for a man who departed from our world thirty years ago...

Remember a man, not for having his life end so suddenly and violently by the hands of another man.
Remember him as a boy who grew up to be half of one of the most famous and successful song-writing partnerships of all time.
Remember him as a lad, who was one-fourth of one of the most popular bands.
Remember him as an enigma of sorts, always loving to play with words, a young man who had a way with words.
Remember him for his smile, for his brilliant sense of humor.
Remember him as the father of Julian and Sean.
Remember him for his relationship and love for George, Paul, and Ringo.
Remember him as Paul's soulmate in music and intellect.
Remember him for his artistic views, for his music.
Remember him for being strong enough to show the world that he wasn't a soldier of war, he was a soldier of LOVE.
Remember him as a man who only wanted us to "give peace a fightin' chance" and embrace the words: "Love is all you need"...

In this day of sadness and rememberance, let us not mourn a man who was stolen from the world.
Let us celebrate his life.
Let us continue to love his musical brilliance.

John...
We miss you.

A PERSONAL LETTER FROM A 19 YEAR OLD WRITER

Dear John,

I know my words aren't very much compared to what your family, friends and other fans are doing to honor you today...
But know that these words I write; they come not only from my mind, but from my heart and soul...

To you, wherever you are in whatever realm or being or world, from me, a girl who wasn't born until May of 1991...

I, and [probably] other fans, write to you today on a personal level and we write you also to let you know: "You are remembered; we honor you".

And now I write to you, to let you know what you've done for me.
John, you have inspired me so much, and through your lyrics, legacy and quotes, you have made me become the person I am today, you have made me see the world, and you have made me not fear what darkness lurks outside my door, you have shown me that I can still be a dreamer, that I can still hope- even though the world tries to cripple me more than usual some days.

Thank you, John, thank you for all your dreams, ideals, imagination, words, music, and most of all, thank you for all the LOVE you've given to us in your lifetime.

I hope that somehow, on some level, you'll be able to see my words, and know that you have been one of the biggest inspirations for me.

Again, thank you, John.
I want to tell you one more thing that I hope you'll hear somewhere...

Thank you for the music.

Rest in Peace,
John Lennon
