I read an article on Yahoo that lists the most and least satisfying jobs. Firefighters and clergy are 87 and 80 percent satisfied with their jobs and cashiers, bartenders, and servers/waiters are 25, 26, and 27 percent satisfied with their jobs. I'm basically a cashier and I've been trying to get a restaurant job so I can make what virtually every bartender/former bartender/cocktail waitress/et al tells me they make/have made. For two more percent, yes I want the damn money. In two to three days, I could make what I do now in five and a half days. I went on a job interview where the interviewer told me that she used to be a cocktail waitress making major bank before she got married. She said one of the hardest things she'd ever done was giving up the money, and the lifesytle that went with that job.
I think the 25 percent must have been a national average.
