Cleaning
On a completely unrelated note, and thanks to a few good friends, I have been cleaning my apartment! Join me in a raucous "Yay," will you?
Let's see. In total over three weekends, we did an awful lot. I took 19 kitchen-garbage-bags worth of old clothes to Good Will. This past Saturday, I delivered a full carload of old computer equipment to ARC Broward, which is a reuse/recycle charity organization for old electronics. This included 1 TV-VCR Combo, 4 Old Computer Monitors (at least one was green-screen), 1 crusty printer, 4 or 5 Old CPUs (including one 8088 system), 2 ancient Notebooks that never worked, a powersaving station (like a big surge protector, really), and a fully boxed, never used SCSI scanner. Previously, I/we took 8 bags (94 lbs) of laundry to a laundry service, and have thrown out lots of boxes and garbage bags full of ...well, garbage.
I still have individual laundry to do, like sheets, and a few other others I didn't turn over to the service. I need to vacuum everything, as well as build two shelves, redistribute stuff on the shelves, hang up my tack-and-dry-erase board, pick up a few other things for organization of incoming snail mail, etc.
Someday soon, the apartment might actually be Visitor Friendly!
