For all those moving over in September....
I've seen posts here lately on various parts of the moving process, visas, loans, etc. While we're all leaving roughly within a month of each other people seem to be at different stages with their preparations. So, I'm curious...where's everybody at? Are your loans approved? Do you have your visa? Have you started packing (or thinking about packing?) Do you have somewhere to live in the UK? It's so nice to have a community where everyone's going through the same thing at (almost) the same time :)
As for me, I'm currently in the midst of packing, but not for the UK- I'm moving out of my apartment this weekend and going home to live with my parents for a month before I move to England. I've got basically everything I need for my visa app, but all my documents are at my parents' house (except my passport, which is with me) so I'm waiting until Monday to send in my application. I decided to go for uni housing so I'm still waiting on my contract to be mailed to me, even though I know where I'm living (some really nice self-catered flats where I'll most likely be with other postgrads/mature students- yay!) It's kind of starting to hit me that this is actually happening- I've been busy with work this summer and also freaking out about my loans getting approved that I haven't really thought about it too much, but I'm going into the final stretch and it all seems more...real. Anyone else feel that way?
