Film Is Extra
Ah, so it's nearly 3:00am and I'm just stumbling in. Not too late I know, but you have to understand coming in late hasn't been the norm for me for several semesters now. I'm such an old woman these days. But speaking of the miserable semester, it's finally over. I took my genetics exam at 5:30-7:30pm. Exams on a Saturday night!? Yeah, LSU takes no prisoners. Though the stress won't leave until I see my final grades posted I'm sure. Two classes I am extremely iffy about whether I came through with a C or not. Where are my science nerd aspirations? No idea. I have no real want to be anything. Though it would be awesome to be some crazy writer lady with a backyard full of huskies. I'm surprised my mom isn't that already.
And in the name of mother's day I got whisked off to her favorite restaurant right after I got back from campus. They're going to the camp Sunday (without me, thank heaven!) so we celebrated Mother's day tonight. Mom likes fancy food though, so those with unrefined pallets like me and dad were kind of left just poking at our food. My fish was pretty good once I scraped off all the miscellaneous sauce and pecans on it. Though I was silent most the time, just contemplating all the ways my parents might retaliate if I really didn't pass those classes. Which probably killed the mood, so oops.
But then randomly we decided to go see spiderman afterwards and didn't get out until 1:30am. I guess maybe it's kind of odd to go with your parents to movies in the middle of the night but dad pretty much had no say and mom was giddy from several glasses of wine. The movie was kind of campy, but yeah I'd been wanting to see Venom and there were some really funny parts like JJ at his desk. But now I'm back home and I don't know whether to go to bed or stay up until dawn. Eh. Also my nephew is coming over in...four hours. I think I'll hide.
