Had a typical experience with Russian logic. A chain supermarket have that "customer loyalty program", i.e. plastic cards. You'd to buy them first to have small discounts or special prices. And what they do now, after all those years of building steady clientele? Yup, they release new cards so you, a loyal customer, have to buy a new one. And no, you can't get a new one in exchange for the old card.
What's the saddest part? It's a classic great-idea-usage scenario. As a wise man said, you can't understand Russia with a reason.
