Am I the only one who's fallen in LOVE with Lost Girl, on Showcase? Honestly, I don't know what it is about it, I just adore it. (Okay, maybe it's Kristin Holden Reid and his gorgeous body and his amazing chemistry with Anna Silk.) I just...really enjoy this show.
Oh, Glee. I love you so. You managed to take a character I don't like (Kurt) and make me feel sorry for him. I ain't gonna lie, I even had a tear.
Still...CAN SOMEONE PLEASE START A PETITION TO GET LEA MICHELE TO EAT SOMETHING? SHE'S STARTING TO SCARE ME. I SWEAR I CAN HEAR HER BONES GRINDING TOGETHER WHEN SHE SINGS. (Also, is it just me or has the actress playing Mercedes lost weight as well?)
Haven continues to pwn my soul. So twisty and delightful. Thank gawd Syfy showed some sense and renewed for a second season. My muse hasn't been this active in years.
Stargate Universe is back as well, with little to no advertising by Syfy. They don't do much publicity, and then wonder why ratings were low. Idiot network. Still, how can I resist Dr. Rush? I really can't. I REALLY CAN'T. He's so scruffy and gruff, and come on, who doesn't want him to lay T.J. and comfort her with some sweet, sweet lovin'? (Oh, is it just me, then? *shrugs*)
In other news, I caught the premieres of Smallville and SPN, but I've yet to see more.
comeon_eileen is poisoning me with her anti-S6 feelings for SPN and making me pessimistic about quality, but really the premiere wasn't so bad. On the other hand (show)...*pouts* Without Chloe I don't know if I want to watch. Don't get me wrong, I love Lois. I just don't really like Tom Welling. I think he's done a fantastic job as Clark, really, I was just never a fan of Superman. I was always into this show for the secondary characters. The mythos of Superman doesn't interest me, mostly because it's been so famous and expounded that there's nothing new to find. Also, the fandom for that show tends to irk me. They want to "reinvent" and "reimagine" the myth, but at the same time they try to please the traditional fans by keeping everything "canon". You can't do BOTH. You either have to forge your own path, or stick true. There is no combination of the two that will satisfy everyone. (Yes, this stems from my love of Chloe. I just don't understand why people can throw such huge fits over an OC in a show that was SUPPOSED to reimagine everything. You can't have the same characters over and over again. There needs to be freshness.) (AND YES, MOFOs, CHLOLLIE IS ENDGAME. I love comic!Black Canary, but they did NOT do her right in the show, which is WHY she didn't stick around long.) *pouts*
I find The Vampire Diaries tame. It's not really grabbing me, but then again, it was always a light amusement. Nothing I fangirled. Nikita, I feel much the same about.
I do want to say that I'm enjoying Undercovers. I find it lacks an edge, though, that is inherent to most JJ shows. This show feels like it should be on the USA network, if you know what I mean. (Which isn't a bad thing, I love most USA network shows. They just aren't the high drama/excitement entertainment I've come to expect from network television.
I'm surprisingly enjoying the show Chase. I caught it on a whim, and I find it...interesting. I think it's the lead character that I like. She's so gruff at work, such a BAD ASS. Then you see glimpses of her in her offtime, these slivers of softness, and it's like sun piercing the clouds. It's just...really intriguing. I EVEN BLEW OFF CASTLE TO WATCH IT. LIKE, FOR SERIOUS. (I caught Castle the next day, though.) (Beckett's hair looks so good this season.) (Her wardrobe needs work.)
All my regular shows remain awesome, which surprises me. Grey's Anatomy has its fire back. Castle has its moments of sheer fantastic. Sons of Anarchy is being shockingly...languished in it's awesome. I still love it, it's just...not terribly exciting right now.
