Quite honestly, when I first found out that some people actually liked Kirk better, I tried to wrap my head around the idea and to figure out what they saw in the lug.

Picard wins by a mile in my book! :P

OMG, we're sharing a brain.

You know, I actually try not to think of myself as a fan... (despite having watched NextGen with religious fervor and both Deep Space Nine and Voyager with alarming frequency) But Garak rocked.

I eventually fell away from DS9 though - sick to bloody death of whining Bjorans!

Awww, to be honest, DS9 was my absolute favourite. So many awesome characters and unlike the other shows that had to move around and bounce from plot to plot, DS9 was a fixed place that allowed for a chance to really let characters develop.

Seriously, so many gifted actors playing so many awesome characters make DS9 a tough one to beat.

Kirk is by far superior.
None of that diplomatic shit. He knew what to do, and did it (while sleeping with every women in the galaxy).

Picard lets his ship get shot at while discussing the subquantum dilithium matrix ultra combobulator with Riker and figuring out how to best disable the enemys shields so they can talk to them.

Kirk loads the torpedo bays and blows up the enemy.
