reincarnation, much?

The dream I had last night involved my rebirth.
It was very complicated, like a maze of thoughts and blurry images, but I remember the climax the most.
Albe, Jeff G, Noah Kraft, some girl that was suppose to be a mix of my aunt, Kelly, and Hallie, and I were faced with a challenge against this deadly flying snake thing that I think was suppose to be temptation and the devil. We were given angel wings and put into this whirlpool-type place located on a field, and told that we had to learn how to fly out of the snake's reach, and that this learning process would grant us enlightenment and freedom. I think Noah or Albe fucked something up though (I think they were showing off), and we ended up being moved from the field to this freaky, dark concrete building with incredibly durable screened windows. We had to escape through the windows, and this time if we did not, the snake would kill us. Only when all of us had either escaped or been killed would we really be set free and left alone.
We all started out in the same part of the building, testing out our wings and seeing how fast we could dive into the windows. However, we soon realize that Albe had deserted us, and we had no idea where he could have gone. Against our better judgement, we went to look for him, and before we knew it, Jeff had wandered into another part of the building and was standing in front of the horrific, giant snake, trying to coax it into doing something. Hallie/Kelly/my aunt was nowhere in sight either, and I began to worry. Anyhow, Jeff didn't seem to be doing a very good job with the snake demon thing, and soon it prepared to attack. "Run!" Jeff screamed, waving at us frantically. I flew to the nearest window and threw my body against it as hard as I could. I thought about removing my wings to better fit into the opening, but there was no time. After throwing myself against the screen a couple of time and pushing with all my might, I managed to make a small hole. With all the energy I had left, I squeezed myself through the hole and felt like I was being helped by some unknown force.
I fell out on the other side of the hole a sputtering, wet, and slightly bloody mess, wearing new clothing. My aunt was standing there (she was 100% my aunt this time...though she looked a little different than my aunt in real life...but no more traces of Kelly or Hallie left in her). "Where are the others?" I asked, knowing that they were either already escaped or dead, or else it wouldn't really be over and I wouldn't have been "liberated". My aunt pointed, and not far away stood two shiny, large cockroach-like critters--one bright fuschia and the other brown and blue. They were two of the guys, though I'm not sure which ones, but I have a feeling Albe was the one who didn't make it. I looked around...we were in a rich field with low trees and colorful easter-like decorations all around, artificial sunlight shining on us. I felt somehow that "it" wasn't over yet, though I didn't know what "it" really was.

Later on, I dreamt I was in South Carolina again, taking the CAT (Clemson Area Transit bus...free bus service) to the apartment my parents are renting until our house is finished being built. It was a double decker, and Ben and Robbie were on it with me. When we got out, we walked under this little overpass and were standing on the grass near a lake--a very similar landscape that was so familiar to me when I lived in Louvain-la-Neuve and I passed the overpass and lake everyday coming home from school. The main difference between this landscape and the one in my dream, however, was that the grass in my dream was vivid yellows, oranges, and red. Like fire. And everything looked like it had been colored in thickly, like we were standing in an oil pastel drawing. I had forgotten my backpack on the bus, but they threw it down to us when they drove by, and it put me in a cheery mood. We sang (and I remember vividly singing every verse) "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Disney's Mulan, followed by Raffi's "Baby Baluga". We got to the apartments, which looked familiar from another dream that I had who-knows-when, and went to our respective homes (they both lived there too apparantly). Robbie morphed into Nick Castillo, at some point. He offered to be a designated that night if we wanted to go out and party.

eh, the dream the night before last was pretty intense too, but kind of in a silly way. It was like my own twisted version of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie (which I haven't seen but will probably tonight), with my own twisted version of the incoming class of Brown swimmers. eh.

I wonder why I dream about some people that I feel are really of no special significance to me in the same context as those that are very important to me.

My foot is hurt. I can walk but I have to do it all funny and it's causing my hip to be semi-sore and my right calf to cramp up. Kelly gave me some crutches. I might have to use them...how pathetic. Doctor tomorrow.
