fuck. another night sitting up trying to make this album worth listening to.
20 songs written (both demoed and yet to be).
of the demoed 16, how many are worthy? fucking 7.
once the other 4 are done i think we'll be looking at a worthy 9.
thats not enough. fuck. 3 weeks.
within exactly 3 weeks I'd like to write at least 4 more worthy songs ( Read more... )

Nights like this make you wonder, does Jesse Lacey stay up late thinking these things?

I hope I get the chance to sit down with you and a guitar. It's been so long.

Go to bed. You'll be just fine.

Oh man. From what I hear/read, Jesse Lacey works like this. He writes 40 something songs for a new album, and then one morning wakes up and decides he hates every single one of them. Seriously. So he throws them all away and writes a new album. He's crazy. Then again, that's why he's in Brand New and I'm in Like A Movie.

Man, I'd love to get together and play. Word has it you might not be able to go to San Antonio? What's going on with all that? Hopefully you can go and we'll be able to party, eat, sleep, swim, and play guitar all the time, for free, in a big beautiful house, hahah. Let me know what's up with that stuff, we're all really hoping you can make it, but understand if you can't.

I actually wrote a song that I think will be deserving of a place on the album right after I posted this.

Merry Christmas, brotha

Perhaps that was a bad example.

I guess you really should get your butt in gear, but, then again, if you did you wouldn't be the Jeff I fell in love with.

I might get a job around the same time, but, until I get a call saying otherwise, I'm coming to Texas with you guys. I'm just going to go and hope I don't get the call until we are back. Worst case scenario: we leave for Texas and the next day or two I get a call saying they need me back in PA. In which case I will have to get on a plain, train or automobile to get back. It shouldn't be an inconvenience to you guys.
