It is great when one of my friends sends me an e-mail saying she wacthed the Indiana Jones trilogy and it reminded her of me.
Football season is all but over and while I don't go to the lengths of painting my face or planning my weekend schedule around whats being shown on ESPN, I do like watching football, esspecially college. It doesn't really matter who is playing. I've always pulled for teams like FSU and Auburn and LSU but at the end of the season my heart isn't broken if they aren't among the top ten. A long time ago, before we joined the military, Miles and I would sit around Thursday and Saturday evenings watching games and remembering the near perfect 1993 Florida State season when they won their first National Championship. One night we were watching a game with a group of people when one of the players took a pretty hard hit and I remarked, "If that had been Mr. Hyde who leveled that man he would have had to write a check to the poor reciever's mother." Those were the days.
