I think the reason they put such beautiful girls in sitcoms is so that they can get a wider range of demographics and most guys will tune in to see a pretty girl. It may have been Mary Tyler Moore who pioneered this but the concept was perfected by Ginger and Maryanne. Even I had a crush on Elaine Bennis from Seinfeld but never on any of the Brady girls or even Suzanne Sommers for that matter. I am sure the list could go on and on but in my opinion the only situation comedy queen who is higher on my list than Debrah on Everybody Loves Raymond is Dianne Chambers, the cocktail waitress from the first few seasons of Cheers. No other television actress will ever hold a candle to Dianne. That girl on the OC comes close though.
