Had an amazing time in Toronto.
Got to see Anna and go to AFRICAN LION SAFARI. Yes, hundreds of pictures of wild animals, many of whom liked to peer into, chew on or climb all over vehicles.
Had a wonderful dinner with Jen, Andrea and Kathleen, though I felt like we should have pretended were were having a bachelorette party or something with all the festivities at tables around us. Also, perhaps the most stoned or high waiter I've ever had.
Then on to six hour power shop with Jen and Donna. It was like my very own personal What Not To Wear episode. There was much shaking of heads, hundreds of pairs of pants and shirts and lots of calls of "absolutely not". After much shopping (the credit card is still shaking from all the purchases) I was eager to show off my new clothes at work. So I picked olive dress paints, a red camisole and this cute brown with green and red fleck blouse. I was so excited. I felt cute and well dressed and I couldn't wait for everyone to say how great I looked. Except NO ONE DID. Not one person noticed my new clothes at work. Ok, maybe it was an off day I thought. So I picked a second new outfit to wear yesterday. Today they're going to notice I've ditched the four suits I own and gotten new clothes. Right? NOPE. You know, it's really really aggravating when you've done the whole what not to wear thing and then no one notices you finally got clothes that fit. Sigh. So now I'm just going to see how many new outfits I can make from my new purchases and how many days it will take them to notice any of them.
