Y de postre... yogur griego!!
Originally uploaded by Mighty Marta Today I learned two new words for snack... tentempié (a diminutive of mantener en pie) for something you take in the afternoon to stay on your feet, and resopón, the midnight snack. In the dictionary I found piscolabis (something to wet the lips?) along with the apparently Latin aperitivo and the ubiquitous tapa and pincho. We close with a recent survey of supermarket-ready delicious snacks:
  • generic brand greek yogurt with jam (nyt yogurt)
  • salad with tomatoes and fresh pre-cooked beets and whatever
  • hot tea and petit ecolier cookies
  • anchovy stuffed olives
  • mandarin oranges
