DJ Josh Clayton
Originally uploaded by ravelite. At 7pm I showed up at the station not quite knowing exactly what the set would be. Eldon Stegall, the Chief Engineer (and head of the Philosophical Society), let me in the studio and we had an interesting conversation about his duties, the station's history with live streaming, and the impending transition to HDradio. DJ Josh Clayton arrived and played an hour set of chiptunes courtesy of 8bit peoples (who also give away their music!) while we discussed plans for the show. This also gave me a chance to organize my set.

Threv joined us in the studio for light banter and discussion of chiptunes, Axel F, Thanksgiving, nophest, and livecoding. Then I played a set of 3 songs. The first two were long riffs on stems I'd already made--covers of "Heroes" and the Final Fantasy Prelude. On the third piece I started from a more basic template. I also mixed in some demo and talk sessions from ICMC (Glove Talk and Different Strokes). Threv and Josh were egging me on throughout the performance, and I'm proud to say the songs ventured into wierd territory. Twitch even called the station and asked if it was taken over by aliens. Indeed.
