The Idol

After some of the NEC Idol hopefuls' practicing sessions I had to endure last night in the Coffee House, I'm almost regretting not signing up as a contestant. Not that I think I'd win--there are some much better voices with more power and better stage presence in the competition--but for the simple fact that I know how to carry a tune without going flat, unlike some who made the cut. Plus, when's the next time I'll be able to do something like this?

But then again, I'm glad I'll be missing out on all the drama that comes from deflated egos, especially since I'll have to sing with two of them in Just Us Four soon if we ever get around to it. Just not something I feel like dealing with. The stage isn't really my home anyway, and I don't really have anything to prove, I guess.

It'll be pretty fun to watch anyway though, if I ever GET THIS DARN PAPER DONE.
