Packing

'Packing' is probably the wrong word.
I think I'm probably going to take more books than articles of clothing, cause, you know, it's me.
And as I'm too lazy to write a real post, here's the list of CD's I've been saving for this trip, in no particular order:
-Not A Pretty Girl (Ani DiFranco) - Cause I've never really listened to her.
-Carenco (Marc Broussard) - I think I heard his voice on one song, and I dug it. Let's hope the rest is good.
-Unplugged (Alejandro Sanz) - He was the dude singing on that Shakira song, with the video where she's covered in oil and stuff. #2 that I bought hoping that the music would be good. Unlike Broussard, if his lyrics are insipid, I'll have no idea!
-Rated R (Queens of the Stone Age) - Just cause.
-Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) - Cause I've heard Kweli is awesome.
-Arkansas Traveler (Michelle Shocked) - Also cause I've never really listened to her, and the one song I have heard is fantastic.
-Uh Huh Her (PJ Harvey) - Cause I know she's awesome.
-It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (Public Enemy) - I've been informed that it's required listening.
-From Elvis In Memphis (The King) - Cause Elvis was a hero to most.
-Paul's Boutique (The Beastie Boys) - I hear Mike D is back from the dead!
-The College Dropout (Kanye West) - Cause I need to know if any of the rest measures up to Jesus Walks.
-Live at the Apolllo (James Brown) - As if I need a justification.
-Live at Cook County Jail (B.B. King) - Ibid.

So, yeah. Back to Santa Barbara soon.
