Commence!
God, I haven't updated my journal in a long while and, since I just posted for the first time in the Parks and Recration: Leslie/Ann community (my first in any comm), I figured I'd update here, too. I'm changing up my rules a bit here. The fandom stuff shall be public, the silly personal stuff shall be private.
Let's do the list thing, since it's easiest.
-My friend Kristina got me hooked on ER because I needed a long term show to just nom through. Fifteen seasons? Yeah, that'll do. I started from episode, like, five and I absolutely love Susan! She's my favorite character, fer sure. At first I kinda shipped Susan/Carter, but midway through season two I'm like Green/Susan FTW! It's kinda sad knowing how a lot of it goes down, though, y'know? Like I'm late to the tv party that the rest of the country already enjoyed. (P.S. Benton is lame. End of story.)
-Skins, because it is amazing. I can't even remember where it started (Fandom Secrets maybe?) but I friggin love it! ANother fandom I'm kinda weird with because I decided to just jump inno Series 3 and am going back to Series 1 & 2 on BBC America (illegal downloading is just too quick to enjoy things thoroughly), but I do miss the cusses. I stare at the screen and think, 'What;s all this 'ff---' business? They're saying 'fuck,' I know they're saying 'fuck!'' Bothers me, really.
+Another thing, I love Emily/Naomi, as does most of the rest of fandom, it seems. They're so cute and I love Kat Prescott's cute voice and I even cut my hair like her. The asymetrical straight bangs? They're, dare I say, bangin'.
-The previous loves of HIMYM (specifically BrOTP) and Big Bang Theory (specifically Sheldon/Penny) are still active, if less red hot than before. When my brother insulted BBT on the phone I wanted to explain to him why it was good besdies "Look at that chemistry! They're secretly in love!" but I couldn't come up with anything.
-30 Rock and The Office are strong as ever. I love Tina Fey (as does America) adn the Michael Scott Paper Company was a great story line, IMO. Aah, and can I say I love Pam being a salesman? Welcome to Awesometown's beautiful sister city, Achievementville, Population: Pam Beesly.
-Lesse, I have an interest in Gossip Girl, but only because Blair and Serena are totes gay for each other, y'all. [Also, this video--I cannot stop wathcing it! "Nuuu! My headband!" That sound clip is going on my iPod.]
-Last, but not at all least, Parks and Recreation. It has so much potential and it helps fuel my girl crushes on Rasida Jones and Amy Poelher (have y'all seen her UBC stuff and on Conan in the 90's as Andy's little sister Stacy? HIGH-larious!). It also helps that their chemistry is so crazy good they need to either be BBFs or gay together. Those are their only two options.
-Almost forgot Smallville! It's been on fire this season by throwing out the old crappy stuff and keeping the good (i.e. Erica Durance as Lois Lane). Seriously, Erica Durance, you are beautiful. Please keep the dark hair and little extra weight. It makes all the difference.
I wonder when I'll stop calling them girl crushes and just admit that I'm just in love with these talented women. Oh, they're so pretty and good at acting and jokes.
P.S. I never noticed how hard I ship with my shows until I ay it all out like this. I ship waaaay too much, if such a thing exsits.
