I've always wanted to be a hero, and daddy said that he didn't mind if I came in and played in the holographic trainers, as long as I stayed out of the way.
I decided to work my way through each and every mission, that was what led to the whole Holocaust training scenario. It was just way too hard - I couldn't do it by myself. I tried, I really did - but I must have died like fifty times and so finally I asked for help. I met this woman, she says she's the chosen of Athena and she has a regal bearing about her that leaves me little doubt that she is telling the truth. Her name is Diana... and she's amazing! Kind, and generous, beautiful and sweet... a real hero, and yet she stopped what she was doing to help me finish my mission... even when it turned out to be way harder then either one of us ever expected.
She taught me so much about fighting and determination...
It was the final mission that did it... surrounded by bad guys that out leveled me by several levels and an Elite Boss I went down hard... so hard that the safety protocols slipped and I actually felt the pain as it seared through me. I woke up in the hospital with all this electricity popping and cracking around me... I thought Diana had thrown it around me to protect me, but after it was all over she told me that she hadn't done it. She suggested that maybe my courage had caught the eye of someone and I had been blessed... I was afraid I might be sick.
I went to talk to med team, and my dad. Turns out something went wrong up there in the mission room and my body was hit with massive amounts of electricity. The safety protocols did their best to protect me and somehow the malfunction and the back up protocols combined in such a way that the field might be permanent... dad says only time will tell, well actually he said a bunch of technological mumbo jumbo that comes down to time will tell... but not being a tech geek, I have no clue what it all meant beyond that.
They want me to keep working at the AE Lab so they can study me...
I'm scared - the field seems to be getting stronger and when mom tried to get close enough to kiss me goodnight last night - she got shocked... bad enough to make Dad call Uncle Ross (he's a member of the med team at AE). Uncle Ross said that she would be ok, and she didn't have to go to the hospital - but that until we find a way to control this... people (especially normal humans)shouldn't try to touch me.
