Well it's a holiday in a few countries where you give presents and cards to the people you care about and love.

It's an excuse to show affection mostly ^///^

Who made it and why?

Er...well i think it began a long time ago in Europe when there was more discreet about relationships....slowly it progressed and spanned through the world.

Back when it originally began it was associated with a Saint (it still is at times) and people were to write letters to their beloveds to express how they felt. It was a way of tradition and formality i think..I'm not that knowledgeable on this holiday actually....

It's a way we measure time...after 365 days it becomes a year...the year for me is 1997...there are about six hundred or more years between my japan and your japan....i think...I live near Tokyo if it helps you figure our where exactly i'm from...

Oh...I guess it doesn't exist yet...Tokyo is in central Japan on the easter coast...
