So I've been failing hard at posting here for the last month--I got kind of swept away with three things. The beginning of the semester (have I mentioned how much I hate homework? I hate homework. It gets in the way of the work I give myself. But my classes and teachers remain hardcore shiny, so I'm not really complaining), my trip to Kansai (which was SO FREAKING GREAT and I want to work in Osaka and get to mess around in Kyoto on days off, screw Tokyo and its constant maintenance of distance sideways), and this rp. Multifandom crack--I've been playing Ashura from Rg Veda, Hijikata from Peacemaker, Watari from Yami no Matsuei, and Sano and Kondou from Soshite Haru no Tsuki.
It's a weird, weird thing when your most publicly recognizable character is a supporting character from Yami no Matsuei. But then, this is what I get for playing from a manga as old as me and one that's, essentially, a samurai soap opera with porn in.
Went to Shibuya on a whim today, since no one told me I didn't have classes and I had the money for trains for the first time in a couple of weeks. There was a protest march over Tibet and the Olympics being held in China and all going down the main street; I followed for a while. For all I know, all this hullabaloo is going to be what we think of decades from now when we look back on 2008, so now I can say I was there and witnessing things instead of bumming around in my apartment the whole time!
I also found Mandarake, on the third try. Bought some doujins for friends who'd requested them. Also, Scarlet, if you're reading this, I found the Gintoki x Shinpachi section and was like, "I know someone who'd like one of these!" And then I realized that I don't have a scanner after I bought it. Ahaha, if she doesn't read this, I guess I'll just keep it, since I know so few other Gintama people...but yeah. Uh. If she's got a PO Box or something, I'll see what I can do about that.
I'll do a post with my "OMG Kansai is so much more fun than Kanto" squealing in a bit. Unless I forget. I'll probably not forget if someone pesters me about it...For now, though, I think that's about it!
