New Regulations Passed
The three Councillors quickly pass regulations to protect the Wizarding world.

Several new regulations go into effect today that will forever change the Wizarding world in wartime periods. The three Councillors announced that this was in order to protect individuals in the world as much as possible. Given a number of threats, they have decided to strive for the safety of the Wizarding world as much as possible. These regulations, while restricting, make it possible for the Ministry to keep tabs on the world and best bring the growing number of Death Eaters, as well as You-Know-Who himself, to justice.

‘These regulations will protect our next generation’, Councillor Yaxley told the Prophet in a private interview. ‘More than ever, that generation needs to be protected. Simply checking for Polyjuicing? It seems a little moot when there are bigger dangers in the world’. Among the changes include a change in the policies of the educational system, making the connection between Hogwarts and the Ministry more direct. If there is danger at Hogwarts during wartime, there should be a way to alert the Ministry with little effort.

The regulations also spread to the professional quidditch league, as well as a number of businesses. Yaxley and Doge both expressed concern about the businesses in Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley, given their connections to both sides of the war and how they may be active or inactive if supplying information. Scrimgeour announced that the Aurors would naturally be in charge of conducting the enforcing of these rules during wartime, especially if it means that the world will remain safe. Doge also sincerely said that any regulation will be pulled if it proves too restricting or detrimental for the Wizarding world. Controversial ones, however, will remain.

This is not the first time the Ministry of Magic has issued regulations in order to protect the Wizarding world, and it is doubtful that it will be the last time. The three Councillors appear confident in their decisions.

The List of Regulations

• All Hogwarts students will remain at Hogwarts from September until examinations in the second term during wartime to ensure their safety in not having to travel by the Hogwarts express. Hols will only be issued during the summer and during peacetime.

• All shop owners must submit to a check of their arms once a week for a Dark Mark.

• All new Muggle-born students will be excluded from Hogwarts’ rosters during wartime, ensuring the lack of knowledge’s spread into the Muggle world.

• The Cognate Nexus Devices will be used in both peacetime and wartime.

• Suspicious shops must immediately submit to checks during wartime. All warrants automatically secured upon received suspicions.

• Hogwarts will first alert the Ministry of Magic when there is danger, or else it will be closed down and a new method of security will provided for the students within.

• All Quidditch personnel must submit to checks for the Mark before every match.
