The day of uncompromising awareness
the turtle was at a party down on Catalina Street
When he fell in love with a rabbit and said to her
"you would be so beautiful to chase
slow and steady may keep you safe
and on your way
but i'm not here to take her easy baby
girl i'm here to race"
'you want a little fun
I'm show you some things
She pulled me close
She kissed my lips
'I'll turn you on'
'you want to be your self
which one???
a Pennyless Prince
or Your Mama's Pillow?
The rabbit said looking out the window
Her breath so restless
smoking his cigarette
'I've got to go' She said
"Don't forget your coat" yelled the turtle
"it's ok i have another one"
this was when they met
in the middle
of having fun
and looking for the lost sun
the fool never knows
when the path is going
to continue
while the time of a wise
at least that's what he goes by
thinks and he knows
it's is better to plan ahead
come out alive again
in love or just love
on your mark

'these winds' started to say the rabbit
"don't blow as cold as they once did" interrupted the turtle
smiling to their self not realizing this was not what the rabbit had in mind
'well... that is not what i was going to say' the rabbit said with pissing chattering teeth
"well then please take my shell and i'll admire your fur
He's been wearing it ever since he met her
Before he was just running wild
