We got in touch with someone at Carnival today. After regaling the CSR with our woes, and putting us on hold for about twenty minutes so that her supervisor could review, we were given a 15% discount on a future cruise. Ha, like I would ever cruise with you again! When we said that was unacceptable, they told us they could send us the cash equivalent, or $195.
Why don't you slap our faces while you're at it? Despicable. Mom sent a private FB message to our vacation planner, Hugo, and he said he would see what he could do. I'm not holding my breath. Carnival sucks. I made some sarcastic replies to their tweets today and made a public FB post so that everyone can see what shitbags they are. Hugo won't be able to do anything, I'm sure, but I am going to wait and see what he says before I take this to the news. The consumer reports person LOVES these kinds of stories. Perhaps I'll be on television!
In other news, my brother's Kindle started dying a slow death while we were on the cruise. It's a K3, with the keyboard, so it is fairly old now; I've been thinking about upgrading so I offered him my Paperwhite and bought myself a Voyage today, and a new case. The Voyage will be here tomorrow, and the case on Thursday. It's my birthday and Christmas present to myself.
