i'd hardly been up for long when things got crazy. not long after i'd eaten breakfast & done some housework the doorbell rang. it was athena & her fiance! i had no idea she even had one, since i haven't been able to keep up with much of anything online. apparently she's been kicked out of her house, & her mother put a restraining order on her boyfriend.
they didn't have much money & were looking for a place in the area to stay. :/ they were hoping to find a motel or hotel they could stay at for free, if they worked there in exchange for the room. i got out the phone books for them so they could write down places to go beg at. i made sure to force food on them before they left.. i didn't want them to miss out on the opportunity to eat something.
shit. i did the best i could.
also, on an unexpected note, my sister & her friend sara got in a car accident last night. they were just driving home when they hit a deer. it was serious. they hit the deer, it flew into the air & rolled over their car, [totaling it] then it was run over by two cars behind them.
their air bags didn't go off, but neither of them are seriously injured. sara was freaking out & puking everywhere, 'cause the deer was ripped to shit & looked like someone had set it on fire. they had to have a tow truck come & pick up the car.
holy fuck. life is hectic sometimes. it puts things in perspective, though.
