[An image flickers in; Ianto, now wearing his typical attire of a long-sleeved (in this case dark purple, see icon) shirt, tie, black waistcoat and slacks is standing and looking at the Sphere's camera with an air both purposeful and unsure. Then he speaks.]My name is Ianto Jones. I come from Cardiff, Wales. It was November of the year 2008 when I ( Read more... )

[waves] Hello.

To let you know, Jack's not here. Not yet. Hopefully not yet...

Now, you said you were from September in 2008, but what happened during that time?

... Of course not.

Since the... Daleks, you mean?

[frowns slightly. it's been a couple months for him since that particular day]

Yes. Them...

Jack and, what was her--oh that's right, Gwen! Were they doing well before you arrived here?

[small, somewhat translucent smile]

Just fine. Resilient as ever.

I was wondering... although I was speaking to a friend of yours, Oliver, earlier on -- what do you know about this?

Good. [returns the smile for a moment before it fades again upon hearing the question]

Not terribly much, I'm afraid. I'm sure Oliver's told you about how no one remembers how we got here, how we got these barcodes on our hands, and how there are no crew members in sight except for the captain and even we don't see much of him. On the surface, this is a grand luxury space cruiser.

However, everything they don't want us getting into is deadlocked sealed, so even my sonic screwdriver's useless most of the time.

On the surface. If ever there was an example of 'looks can be deceiving', I think this might just be it. It even feels wrong.

You don't know much, then. How long ago did you arrive?

I--well, it doesn't feel terribly long, but I asked the computer how long I've been here a while ago, and...I've been here a month.

Normally, a month really feels like a month, especially if I'm stuck somewhere, but not here. Then again, I haven't felt quite right ever since arriving here. This ship bothers me.

That's strange. A woman... Rangiku, she said that the longest anyone's been here is one month. I wonder what's so significant about it.
