Wes called at 11:30 this morning to let me know that the backyard was flooded and that he had shut off the water. Turns out one of the sprinkler valves in the back yard froze last night and had since defrosted - leaving a fountain for us. How nice.
We agreed to finish up what we were currently working on and meet at the house for an old fashion hole digging party.

I got home to my back porch looking like this, but with more watar (I didn't think to take pics until after I finished digging the hole):

Keep in mind that the water source had already been off for several hours at this point, so it's had some time to dry up and sink into the ground.

Then after digging for 2.5 hrs I found the source of the problem - above ground I might add:

Someone tell me again why we want to own these problems?
So, Wes is still caught at a service call and I've found the problem but not equipped tool wise or experiance wise to fix the issue. So, I'm sitting in my hosue with no water and hoping that he gets here soon.
